Hamden Councilman Austin Cesare, has endorsed Republican candidate Kathy Hoyt for State Representative in the 88th district. Cesare praised Hoyt’s background in education and as a small business owner as major reasons for his endorsement. “During such unprecedented times, we need someone like Kathy who has extensive background in education, someone that will advocate for our kids and teachers. As a business owner, Kathy has firsthand experience with the struggles of owning a business in Connecticut and I am confident she will fight to make our state more business-friendly.” Cesare continued. “I fully expect Kathy will be a much-needed advocate for Hamden and all residents of the 88th House district. I hope you will all join me in voting for Kathy Hoyt in November.”
Hoyt is a longtime Hamden resident; her children are graduates of the Hamden school system. Hoyt served as a teacher and later as a school administrator for nearly two decades. Hoyt currently works as a realtor and small business owner in Hamden. She is also a board member on the Hamden Chamber of Commerce.
